Neither my husband or I are stupid, we live and die by the smartphone, but getting this set up is complicated. It was a Christmas gift and we have yet to use it to watch anything, it seems everything you want to watch you still have to pay more for. Should have just gotten cable

My Roku and me

The Roku 2 is an ingenious and sophisticated piece of technology and it is so reasonably priced for all that it offers, particularly in regard to access to Netflix, Amazon.Prime movies and HBOGO. It is so easy to setup with easy to follow instructions which you likely will not need since the setup is so intuitive.
Even using AV composite cables with the aid of a Tendak 1080P HDMI to AV video converter, since I have an older TV, I receive very sharp pictures and good sound quality. I highly recommend the Roku 2.

Easy install.

This is the second unit I've had. I take it with me when we are on winter vacations so I can get all my favorite shows and series without having to worry whether our vacation rental has premium service. It's so easy to setup and take down and has few pieces that fit nicely into a plastic zip bag in the suitcase. No bother at all.

Excellent upgrade

We've had an original model Roku for...well, forever. It was definitely time to upgrade. Got the Roku 2 and we're super happy. Easy setup, incredible picture through the HDMI cable connection, vastly improved interface, and MUCH improved performance.

Streaming on a budget

We bought the Roku 2 a couple of weeks ago. Set up was fairly simple, added a few free channels and we are good to go. We chose this model based on Consumer Reports review recommendation of what would suit our expected needs.

Great as long as it last more than two years

Great as long as it last more than two years.The first one I brought lasted about two years before it quit working, which is sad !!!!!! I can not afford to buy a new ROKU every two years.
