Bought this one to replace my older Roku 2 that finally played out. This is the 2015 Roku 2 and has the updated Netflix profiles. Love the Roku so much we bought a TCL Roku tv for the bedroom.

Good viewing for less

I like getting channels I watch a lot, while saving money. Easy to use and setup. Would recommend it to anyone. If I had a negative it would be only one TV can view Sling at a time.

I returned a two week old Streaming Blu-Ray player recently due to poor performance. I had purchased it to stream Netflix. What a joke it was! After reading reviews for streaming players I replaced it with a Roku 2. I see what the hype is about. I just hooked it up a week ago an so far I concur that it is awesome. Better quality, way more options and so much faster than than my first try.

had the roku 3 before i had the new roku 2 and i must say... the 2 had outclassed the 3 by all standards. if you are only after the streaming without the games, this would be the best one to get.

Roku Rules!

Bought my 1st one to replace a Smart Blu-ray player that constantly lost connection with my home network. This thing works awesome, no issues what so ever. Lightning fast, super easy one time setup. I now have them on all 4 TV's. Works great hooked through my AV recievers, so I still get great quality surround sound.

Enhancements diminish Roku 2

Before the Roku 2, I had Roku XD. The Roku XD had the advantage of powering off during periods of inactivity, whereas this newer model will not - unless I pull the AC adapter. Additionally, some channels have flashier menus which have proved less informative and less user friendly than those seen on the Roku XD.
