I bought this 2 months ago after researching it and it's competitors. Decided on this because of it's ease of access to apps and friendly controller for both my kids and not so tech savy wife. Been a great purchase with great video quality.

Wanted to stop paying the rental cost of pay TV, and still enjoy the extra channels.

I bought the Roku 2 about 2 weeks ago when I finally decided that my new year's resolution was getting rid of cable...yes I did it, I "cut the cord"!!! It's been only 2 weeks and I love the device, so easy to navigate and always ready to view any show, video, movie, listen to music, etc. Even my 5 year old knows how to put on his favorite shows. Completely satisfied with my purchase...love Roku!!!

I had a friend tell me about Roku. I wish I would have had this months ago. This changes my feelings about enjoying tv without the high cable bill. I love it! I am addicted and am telling everyone about it!

Simplified my streaming

It is nice to have all of the apps in one place. For example before Roku I had to connect my laptop to the tv to watch amazon prime & netflix thru my dvd player. I don't have sat. or cable so streaming is the option. There is a lot less refreshing and the picture quality is much better. I do wish that there was still an RCA output option for sending 5.1 audio thru my stereo system.
