Roku2 seems a bit glitchy at times. If you don't subscribe to a service like slingtv, it's pretty much useless as a lot of stuff requires you to have a cable/dish account. There is some free stuff, but won't take long before you run out of 'free' stuff. I subscribed to slingtv for the winter months and they have channels I watch. I am a cord cutter and the Roku and PC apps work better than the app on my Channel Master DVR+

As you probably know Cable and satellite are really aren't showing any movies every time you turn on your cable or satellite its the same movies in the past 10 15 20 years agotired of spending a hundred and something dollars a month just to watch TV when there's nothing on with my Roku I can watch anything and everything that I want anytime I wantyou can watch movies from way back in the silent movie days just the 30's 40's 50's 60's I really like watching The Bowery Boys Laurel and Hardy moviesit's nice to watch what you want to watch now what they want you to watch Disney shows on your for kids especially on snowy and icy days like this that can keep the kids occupied all day long Thank You ruku

I like the offerings of cable. I can afford cable. The roku device is a very interesting solution for someone who might not want to support Big Cable. It works great, the pay as you go concept is a fine one. I would recommend it if a person's budget is tight. If I have a lifestyle change (like moving far away from the Clutches of Cable) I would use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Navagating new technology

I was very lost when starting to consider getting NETFLIX on our TV. My nephew had this in his home and tried to explaining the new types of technology offered. The more he said the cofidence of what to do became confusing. We are glad we started with the ROKU. Setup was easy and all on the TV. More instructions are needed to help navagate from one area to another. Perhaps a ban on the bottom of the screen that auto hides would be helpful.
