We bought the Ruko 2, with the intentions we could watch what we wanted and pay what we wanted for channels we could buy.. well unfortunately that's not the case. You have to have a TV provider for certain channels. Like our favorites. (History was the main one) but for the streaming of Netflix or Hulu we like it. It's remote is simple yet dosent adjust volume or even turn on the tv. Overall it's okay. We enjoy our ChromeCast better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got my Roku as a Christmas gift. I have a Neo and a Nexus as well. The Roku is my favorite, by far.

Small box but big possibilities

I bought the Roku 2 a few weeks ago, and while I haven't had the opportunity to really use it a lot so far, it has been very good at viewing the programs I have wanted to see. I am a member of Amazon Prime, and have been using the Roku to access the programming they offer. There are other channels one can view, but for the most part, they will cost money. A few free channels do exist, but I haven't had the most time yet to investigate all of these. Please note that your internet speed must be fast enough to allow for the best use of the Roku. Overall, this has been a great investment and I am waiting to use it more!

After a relatively simple activation process I have had a great experience browsing all the cool channel and app options. My kid loves it. I love that it is portable and the wireless is fast.
