Unreliable. Difficult to use.

The Roku is effective at accessing online video services, such as Netflix, but there are shortcoming. The set often fails and must be reset; on average, about once every month. Upon reset, all the passcodes for all the services must be reloaded and the on-screen "kekyboard" is cumbersome, at best. I got this for my aging mother, who cannot figure out the process--the system just takes up space on her shelf until someone comes by to reset it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really like my Roku 2. The only issue there is no home button that allows me to exit entirely out of the Roku when I prepare to watch regular television. I have to leave my Roku 2 on. I don't like the fact that it is "running" all the time.

Favorite Streaming Device

I have the Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. The Roku is by far my favorite of the three. It all the most to offer out of all the apps and the menu is easy to navigate. I also love the quick access buttons on the remote for Netflix, Amazon and Sling TV!!
