Easy to install and use

I bought this Roku 2 a few weeks ago and I did so I can watch Netflix and hopefully sign up for other channels soon. My whole family is able to enjoy the entertainment together! Great for Friday Night Family Night :)

most of the apps ask for the cable provider or are asking for a monthly fee. the actual free items are few, and far between. they also have movies that should be labeled as antique or poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Set up was easy. just followed the instructions. Easy to use, signed onto Sling and NHL, works great. Cut the cable TV cord!

Roku 2 and the limited data plan

The Roku 2 was given to us as a gift. When we researched it, it appeared that we would have to be connected to our WiFi. We are in a rural area so we have a limited data plan. We thought we could simply unplug it when not in use so we installed it. The installation alone took over 1G. We decided we could not take the risk of going over our 30G/month plan and the Roku really doesn't seem to do anymore than our smart TV will do if we want it to if we connected it to WiFi. Seems like a great item to have if you don't pay for cable/satellite (which we do) and/or have unlimited data.
