Huge improvement from our Roku XD

Our Roku XD started locking up and randomly pausing while watching shows. Decided to replace it with a new Roku 2 and now wish I had made that choice sooner. It's extremely fast and responsive (unlike my old Roku) and exactly what I needed.

Solid product, good value

Roku provides solid value, and for me the newest Roku 2 hits the sweet spot. Excellent wireless at 5GHz, fast and intuitive GUI, and works with my universal IR remote. I like that Roku isn't pushing one company's services at me. Downsides? The interface is a bit basic/spartan compared to competing products, and its not the best choice for streaming audio (I use SiriusXM, TuneIn and Amazon Music a lot, and their channels are quite bare-bones and lack features that they provide on other platforms). Still, my favorite media streamer overall.

I ditched that outdated AppleTV life and now get to watch all the channels I want, with easy access and full customization options!

Easy to set up and navigate

The Roku 2 has been great so far. We mainly use it for Netflix and Amazon and have had no problems so far. Setting it up was easy with the instructions given.

I purchased this thinking I could plug directly into my ethernet port. I planned on buy the roku 3 to fix this but decided not to because so far the WiFi connection is working like a charm. I love all the channels that come with it.

my original Roku 2 stopped working and I analyzed if I should go to Roku 3 or 4 but after reading the new version of Roku 2 - was extremely pleased with speed of this purchase...
