Almost never works

This Roku 2 was given to me as a gift. I have only been able to use it about half a dozen times in over a year. It might connect once out of twenty times, and when it does finally connect, it usually shuts down halfway through a movie. I use it primarily for NetFlix since I haven't had any luck connecting to other channels. I have repeatedly Rebooted the system, checked all connections, and reconnected to wi-fi, but nothing helps. Very dissatisfied.

pointless and a waste of money!

I bought this about two months ago and I'm having issues accessing my Netflix. But that's not the worst part, I believed this device would provide Free Basic Cable channels but it DOES NOT. I can't even watch CBS, FOX, NBC NOTHING!!! you have to be subscribed to cable to watch these Free basic channels. I bought this so that I could watch these FREE channels and access my Netflix but I can't so NEITHER! This device has no purpose. I'll have to buy a cable box and antenna to get FREE CABLE and thank goodness I can access my Netflix on my Smart TV.... Waste of money!

I am not happy at all I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 it Wil not mirror on the tv, roku 2 and 3?

I am trying to watch the second season of Sword Art Online on Netflix and it wont let me it says NR and when I click to go to it, it says PG you guys need to fix this.

I read quite a bit about Roku before purchasing however what is still not covered in reviews is the reliance on having a wired cable subscription to enjoy the benefits of the device. As someone who has not had paid cable in three years once you allow the masses to be able to choose his or her programing and network choices without having to deal with paid cable subscriptions then Roku and similar devices will be a welcomed technological advantage. Still forcing people to enter information about their cable subscriber is frankly nonsense in 2015. I will say that I understand that the future of how we watch TV and our entertainment choices is a bright one. Expedite relinquishing cables control over our entertainment choices and the Roku.
Would I recommend to a friend for example? Not yet!
