DON'T UNPLUG

HAVE TO GO ON LINE TO GET CODE WHEN I SHUT OFF POWER TO IT FOR A FEW DAYS.THIS CAN BE A PAIN WHEN YOU WANT TO JUST SIT DOWN AND WATCH A SOMETHING.THE EARLY ROKU DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

I switched from chrome cast to roku and am so glad I did! No more freezing or lagging of my shows because I no longer stream from my phone to the tv! This is a great product!

Thanks to the Roku2, I now get the hype. I see what everyone is talking about. With access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other music, news and sports channels, I am no longer held hostage to TV's scheduling. I can watch desired shows on my time. This is great!

This was very easy to install and set up. And I'm enjoying several programs that I had never seen before. Love no commercials, and hints of other programs I might enjoy.

Smooth Streaming

I have a smart TV and whenever I would attempt to stream programming to it, it would always buffer. I thought my internet speed was the cause. I replaced my router with a dual band router and got some improvement but it still buffered. I still thought it was because of my internet. I purchased the Roku 2 for my bedroom (this has a dual band also) so I could stream to my non-smart TV. When I hooked it up to my smart TV the buffering stopped. I am so pleased with the Roku 2 as now I know it is not my internet, but I think the dual band from my router and the Roku 2 resolved my buffering issue. I love it!!

Nice interface, frustrated with functionality

I received a Roku 2 free with my Sling subscription. I was a long time user of the LT and excited to upgrade. While the interface is nice, I find the Roku takes a long time to "wake up." When I first turn it on, I have to sit for approx. 60 seconds until it will finally respond to a command from the remote. I find it also does that when it's been idle for a few minutes. I've done some googling and can't seem to find a fix for the issue but it's definitely frustrating to have to sit and wait for the device to warm up before I can use it. Didn't have this issue with my LT

I have been using a WD Media player for the last several years. I had been growing increasingly frustrated with freezing, lagging and crashes while streaming movies from my media collection and Hulu, Netflix etc. I did some research and purchased the Roku 2 and could not be happier. The system is super responsive, fast streaming and no noticeable downsides. I wish I had bought one years ago!
