Love our Rokus? Roki? Love all of them! We have them on every TV in the house, and always take one along when we travel. Having access to all my favorite channels is so convenient, and when we travel I don't have to figure out who the provider is and what channel I need. Also, I have a Womens Bible study in my home, streaming Andy Stanley of Northpoint in Atlanta: perfect!

I got my Roku 2 to replace another streaming device that had been a huge let down, and I'm so glad I did. It was intuitive, easy to use, and has almost everything I could possibly want to watch. It's already replaced more than half of my on-demand usage from my cable company, and it's got a lot of extra bonuses beyond that. Netflix is easy to use and fantastic, Pandora is the perfect way to listen to music in my house. I'm a huge fan of the Roku already.

Best entertainment purchase, ever. No kidding. So easy to set up and use, great signal on relatively low bandwidth, and great selection. Five stars plus!

Better than Amazon Fire!

Roku's app availability and ease of use is so much better than my Amazon Fire Stick!!! I got the Roku only because it was three with a 3 month Sling Subscription. I wish I had discovered this BEFORE the Amazon Fire Stick. Its so much easier to use and offers more apps including the USANOW app which I use pretty frequently. Its so easy to set up and use and even the remote is better (and larger) than the Amazon Fire Stick remote which only has 6 buttons and one of them doesn't do anything when you push it. If you get a Roku you will be more than satisfied.

Plays great but...

The actual Roku 2 player does a great job streaming but the entertainment options aren't always what they seem. Some channels you can watch if your cable provider is listed and you log in with your cable account but not all cable providers are available for all channels that require a cable subscription. So you are out of luck if your cable provider isn't listed. Channels like NBC, ABC, Fox are free but doesn't necessarily show all their programs or just the current season. So if they are on season 2 and you haven't watch season 1, then you are out of luck. It's better to just hook up your laptop to the TV and stream from the cable providers site. If you have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu etc and want to stream to a TV it works very good and no problems buffering etc. Nicer than using your laptop to stream or if you do not have an Internet DVD or Internet TV capability. there are lot of free channels but might not have what you are looking for if you want current programming.
