I bought this two weeks ago. It is buffering always, slow speed even though i have top high speed internet. I am planing to return this product and planing to buy Roku 3. When changing channel it take 2 to 5 seconds. I had one Roku 2 for the last 1.5 yrs .It was very good. But the life of my old Roku was only 1.5 yrs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome channel selection!

I was tired of paying outrageous sattelite bills so I cut the cord and bought a roku. Outcome? So many channels to watch and more TV and movies than I can view in a years time. I didn't want to give up my live tv but now I'm thinking I should have bought a roku a lot sooner!

Fast, High-Quality Videos

The video brightness and resolution are great. It responds quickly to controls. Cell phone app allows access to music, photos, videos. Same app works for Windows 10. I wish I could connect Windows 7 to big screen. Content still needs to expand to compete with cable. For movies and a few channels Roku wins the battle.

Sometimes annoying but overall good

The new Roku 2 is much slower than the Roku 1, which may be due to the "fancier" features. I don't like that the show/movie you choose begins to play without hitting a PLAY button. It also bothers me that I cannot turn the Roku off, which means it has power 24/7. Both the Roku 1 & the Roku 2 have locked up, causing me to unplug for 10secs to get it moving again, though the 2 locked fewer times than the 1 so far. Overall, I like the product better than my Directv DVR.

Easy to set-up and use

I bought this last month and have enjoyed using it since. This is the first device of this kind that I have owned. It was easy to set-up and is easy to use. The only set-up issue that I had was the initial wifi connection. I had to do a manual reset on the box and then it connected fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Interface!

I bought the Roku 2 to replace a Fire Stick. The interface of the Roku 2 is leaps and bounds better than the Fire Stick. One bonus is that the R2 is compatible with my Pronto Smart Remote of wich the Fire was not. Great Product for a good price.
