Roku-2 is Still New and We're Still "Learning"

We turned in (2) Time Warner HD boxes and replaced them with Roku-2 units. We will own the Hardware OUTRIGHT after only 4&1/2 months of "Device Rental" that we are No Longer Paying. We still have TW Cable, using the TWC-App. The biggest downside ((so far)) is that the Roku-2 has a Very Bright power-on indicator that Does NOT TURN OFF - for Hours - after we turn the attached TV off. This is quite annoying, after a couple of hours of "Insomnia Inducing", room enlightening, pilot-light glare, from across our darkened bedroom. A small but irritating "feature". Where is the Power Off Button??? There is an "Auto-Off" but it doesn't kick in for HOURS... No OFF switch and LIGHTS OUT. One last "Nice-2-Have" would be a "Last Viewed Channel" SKIP-BACK feature (channel 1 to channel 2 and back to 1 then back to 2 --- You get the Idea) !

Simple. Smart. Easy to install and set-up. The Roku 2 has completely opened up our viewing world. Love it!

So-So

This is an okay product, but it is very difficult to lose if you don't have the remote to it. I misplaced the remote during a move and I haven't been able to use it since. Also stores don't sell just the remote, you have to buy a whole new box and if I do find one online, they are extremely expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't work half the time

Tried watching a program the other night, 3/4 of the way thru, a pop up told me that program could not continue, to try later.... Last nite, nothing at all, got message to restart my Roku...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

way too much setup,logging in not like watching tv in any way returned it so fast the transaction was a void on my credit card and not a return

The player is great, my only concern is that some streaming sites exp: ( YouTube, TWC TV and Break ) to name just a few have a very slow response to search requests and remote input feedback. If you try to fast forward or pause you hit the button and 4 seconds later it responds. This is not a characteristic of the other channels. They have quick active response to the remote.

This is my second ROKU and I enjoy the initial screen and easy navigation between streaming providers.
