It took a while to set up due to the wireless router which your people helped me to reprogram. That was a first for me, but it works beautifully. So many options available and now so much more content to access.

Only two complaints. Watchlist should be on the main menu instead of on each individual channel. The other is no Cinemax. Other than that, it's really great!

Limitless Apps but limited on room for technology

Lots of apps. I plan on using just a handful of them. The convenience of streaming NHL.tv alone makes the purchase worth it. This is my 2nd Roku. The first one was the Roku stick. I was disappointed then when I found I couldn't play surround on netflix because of the DD+ requirement and my AVR was not compatible. Netflix decision I know. Though, I replaced with a netflix ready sony bluray and decoded surround with no issue. I expect the size of the device makes the difference in order to process the sound. But I can be ignorrant at times. I would replace this roku, though. there are not many devices I use that has the NHL.tv app available. Not roku's fault in the end. It is mine and Netflix's fault. Good product all in the end.

The new Roku 2 and 3 a mixed bag

Over the last few months, I upgraded my existing Roku 3 and 2's with the new model. I have run into issues, especially with Sling TV where I get this weird error screen that pops up, cutting away from the show I am streaming that says essentially that I can't watch this show because watching it in anything but HDTV isn't authorized. This especially happens when shows cut to commercials or change of show at top or bottom of the hour. This error requires me to restart the Roku player nearly all of the time. I have since reset the Roku to factory settings and this helped but did not eliminate the problem. It often freezes up and I have to back out of the channel and come back in again to recover whatever settings the Roku Player is losing. This is especially prevalent with the new Roku 2 which is the only roku operating with a wireless connection to the router. All others are ported directly to the router. Even then, the new Roku 3 error message has come up or a freeze occurs with less frequency. My older Rokus do not seem to be subject to these problems. Having said all of this, for ease of use, operability, cost, and graphic interface design are far superior to anything else I have used so far (WDTV and Amazon Fire TV).

I like the huge selection of channels and the really nice interface it provides. I refuse to pay outlandish prices for TV full of reality shows (mostly trash) and commercials. No wonder they call it commercial TV. Now I watch what I want when I want.

My son has a ROKU and loves it. I thought I'd try it and FINALLY cut the cable cord! Best decision ever made. Love the selections and the setup was fast and easy!!
