Free Shows Are Horrible! Pay Channels-Expensive

Many of the 'free' channels, National Geographic, History, etc., require either a payment or your cable company is paying to run those networks. The free movies are Grade B and C movies that no one ever heard of-they're horrible. Movies like 'Goodfellas', 'Cheers', you have to pay for. Overall this system is too expensive for our family.

Slow, glitchy, and unauthorized use!

I received a Roku with a 3 month subscription to Sling TV and it is the worst internet TV device I have ever used. There are frequent "unauthorised" use warnings, slow speeds, constantly cuts off, among other issues. I have the fastest internet available in our area (100 mbps) and none of my other devices have any issues (smart tv, chromecast, xbox one). The subscription I received the Roku 2 with is so difficult to watch on this device that I have resorted to only watching it on the other devices, rendering the TV in the living room, the primary area that the subscription was purchased for, useless. We have to go to a bedroom or the basement to enjoy Sling. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible, and Terrible. I will never buy a Roku again.

I kept smelling something burning it was the Roku. Haven't used it so can't give a review. Money down the drain.

I am an old timer so it is hard to change when I am used to something that worked so well. I have not had time to test out it new features. There was an issue setting up and the first technician was not as savy as he needed to be. When they emailed me I registered my complaint and they immediately set up another call to fix the problem. This time the tech knew what had to be done and it was working fine in about 15 minutes. - The bottom line is don't hesitate to follow-up if you need more help.

Firs I purchased the Roku stick which features a remote control based on RF technology so you can point the remote in any direction. This I found, ate up batteries at an unacceptable rate. The Roku 2 remote uses infrared technology and so far has no battery problems. We only have had it for a week but so far we love it!
