Poor quality picture and loss of brightness. Very annoying! Will be looking into competing brands.

I acquired Roku 2 toward the end of April 2015 and installed it amid clutter. My Hisense 32" flat screen is brand new two. Together they deliver good sight and sound. The Roku remote is not easy to use. Use the computer to login.

Sold my Apple TV

I purchased an Apple TV just for HBO NOW. It would not stream reliably plus the UI was a bit more cumbersome than the Roku HD that I've been using for a couple years so I sold it. But I did like the 1080P that it provided.
I purchased the 2015 model of Roku 2 for the improved UI and 1080P. It is much faster loading and I like the UI. I am satisfied with the Roku 2 but would like to have an optical output to run directly to the DAC of my sound system. I've only noticed one problem with it not going to stand by after inactivity. If I return to the main menu when done viewing it seems to go to standby reliably. I'm thinking of using the remote for the HD, it was much easier to use by feel in the dark, simpler is sometimes better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am glad, however dissatisfied. I believe that the device could have a better facility in its handling. I miss also a browser browser. And a greater willingness to LIVE channels such as NBC, FOX, CBS, channels that are already available on free TV.
I realize I have only used YouTube and Netflix, because one already know him and others as paid.
The Roku channel recommends found perfect as it can get to know the channels to download them, however the channel is not updated.

Easy to use

This is our second Roku. I love how easy it is to use. I am very disappointed at the quality of picture provided with the movie streaming. It is very fuzzy. Forget the M-Go: Terrible! I am going to say recommend because it is so easy to use but don't get excited about picture quality!

Less than expected

Bought the Roku for its USB player capability. Have other in my home, but this one as a replacement. My older media players play avi, mkv, and mp4 files. But this one only plays mp4s and only after I had to buy an app. Not good business, Roku!
