Much better than Chromecast

I got the Roku 2 as a replacement to the Chromecast that failed. I only wish That I had learned about Roku fist. I mainly use it for the Slingplayer application but also like many of the channels that are available. I leave it plugged in 24X7.

Faster than previous models

Streams fast, rarely restarts, great picture quality. Works well with Sling TV and Plex. Replaces cable and satellite - have access to the same content for much less money.

I am the absolute worse when it comes to technology, but I hooked this up myself, and started using it right away, with NO problems. I love the selections available. Highly recommend it!

Inconsistent performance

Despite having a fast Wi-fi connection, the Roku 2 frequently struggles to broadcast on HD. Occasionally, the unit freezes, requiring unplugging and reconnecting the power source to reset. Remote is slow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
