Easy set up, great features!

We got the Roku to get Sling TV. The set up was very easy, but it took some time. We were ready to go and have used the Roku several times. We have it installed on the bedroom TV and the only downside of the device is that the indicator light for power is very BRIGHT and stays on. I haven't figured out a way to turn it down or off so I put tape over it. It was like an airplane landing light all night in your face...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a recent cord cutter and I am very happy with my Roku 2. I think it has the most comprehensive list of channels compared to other streamers. The Search function is awesome. I don't have to do extra research on the internet to figure out where to watch my shows. They apps where they are available are listed neatly on the screen.
I also tried the Roku 4 and Roku 3 before settling with R2. My tvs is 1080p capable so video output on all three are pretty much the same. If you can live without the fancy remote and headphones of the R3, save your money and get the R2.

Happy I purchased this. I wanted to watch YouTube and Netflix on my television instead of my phone. I love it. I just wish the remote was better. There is alot of stuff to choose from. I've added quite a few channels. Again the remote could be better, more like the one you get with your satellite subscription tv.

Great concept, poor performance

This thing would be great if it wasn't for the fact that every single time I go to watch it, I have to unplug it and plug it back in just so that I can have a picture. Otherwise, all I get is a purple screen and the sound. Very irritating.

Bought this a few weeks ago. At first I was thrilled to have channels in a room where I don't have a receiver. First complaint: if I would have known that some networks offer limited episodes, I would have second guess this purchase. ie: PBS for my kids has limited episodes, I get a ton more using a tablet. Second complaint: loses signal all the time, even though my router is 15' away. When it is working, it is nice to at least watch some tv in a room where I had none.
