Got this device when i signed up for Sling for 3 months. I love it. Have it hardwired into my internet. Almost no buffering ever.

Worth the Price of Admission

After several weeks (off and on) of researching satisfactory ways of cutting the cord for increasingly outrageous cable prices and often questionable cable service, I decided to give Roku a try about a month ago. Settled on Roku 2, since the voice command feature was not a priority for me. Set-up was incredibly simple and efficient. Despite the slightly deficient selection of free aps that don't require monthly subscriptions, there's a fair selection of free options for those of us more budget-minded viewers. Am so delighted that two weeks ago, I also purchased a new, smart TV set which includes built-in Roku.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cord Cutters Rejoice

Received the latest Roku 2 in a deal with Sling TV. The updated Netflix app is perfect for my wife and I. The UI is so simple to navigate and use I'm convinced anyone can do it. Set up is just as simplistic. Forgot the remote, no problem download the Roku and you are set. The only downside is the quick buttons are not customizable and one app is no longer functional; I would love to see an opportunity to customize the buttons to the user preference.

We are very happy with the product. Some movies have a lot of buffering, but the majority of the movies are fine.

great way to cut the cord

I haven't had cable for a couple years and was using my blue ray player to watch my netflix and hulu which need to replace. I have loved the speed in which the ruku opens and access these and other apps. The only knock I have is that Hulu menu doesn't highlight the show that have new episodes.
