I received my roku for ordering sling TV 3 month package. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and it's pretty great. No Internet drops like I'm used to with my 360, easy to use. Smartphone control is great. Only complaint is the UI sucks and in my opinion is not very intuitive. Hopefully that will change. HBO go is a pain to navigate for example. Make some UI changes and my review would change go 5 Star.

The Roku works well and has been reliable. It also paired automatically with our Ray universal remote. The replay feature -- it replays the last 7 seconds with subtitles -- is a great idea.

I am very surprised at the quality of viewing, even in HD. The set up was easy and quick. As I watch any of the shows (even U-Tube) I get no pixelling or hesitation. A great deal to upgrade you TV instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a smart TV.

Stopped working in less than a year!!!

I fell in love with the original Roku, so when this version came out, I was excited. It didn't last!!! In less than a year it stopped working. When I try to turn it on, I get a purple screen. I tried restarting it, disconnecting it and reinstalling, nothing. I am back to using my original Roku which I have for years. Guess I should have saved my money trying to upgrade.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was using my computer before we could only see part of the tv screen. Now with Roku We see the whole tv screen. Plus no computer now I can use it for other things like shopping.
