I like my Roku2 pretty well since I downloaded the app and ditched the remote. That got rid of all my problems. The Roku wasnt freezing the remote was just junk.

I bought a Roku 2 to use HBO Go, Amazon, Netflix and more and have been enjoying a lot of the additional channels. A great investment for a great variety of entertainment options.

My Roku 2 has been a great investment! The search features have so many options to help find what shows I am are looking for, and it tells you upfront if you will be charged for a movie or episode. It is easy to use and the layout isn't confusing like other systems. The only thing that bothers me a little is it takes a while to load every now and then. Over all it is a great system!

I finally cut the cord. With speed buttons to Sling TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, I have all my viewing options in one handy location. Perfect!

Roku not working

Roku worked fine until I changed my phone w/ Verizon from 366 to 364.in the same house. I have DSL service. I have a laptop that still works on wireless OK. My Roku shows my Wireless modem (same one I use for laptop) as 100% and says connect to new network, but if I try to reenter my password for the modem it still says no connection. The password chart shows the same number of dots as my modem password. Can I get someone to give me the answer?

Streaming made easy!

I recently purchased a TCL Roku TV. The performance and extensive selection of content so impressed me that I purchased a Roku 2 for a Sony smart TV that is cumbersome and lacks streaming feature like LiveStream. Wired setup was fast with no fuss. Added bonus of having another Roku device in the household was the various apps appeared on the new installation. Several apps like Netflix required security logon to verify.
A major shortcoming is Roku Feed does not include Netflix in its search and reporting. Most disappointing since majority of our content streams from Netflix. Another shortcoming is several streaming radio stations are not supported by Roku. Another approach to connect to streaming station needs to be created. The Roku website is difficult to navigate and understand. Ironic since the device is simple and straightforward.

My Roku Experience

I am not as happy with it as I thought I'd be...because things that are supposed to be "FREE" you still usually need a credit card on file...WHY? If an app is supposed to be "FREE" is that necessary??? I tried to get the "FREE" 30 day trial of Showtime...and it would not allow that either! This makes me very unhappy! I understand the credit card on file if one is going to be purchasing something but for "FREE" items it makes absolutely no sense at all!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
