Pretty easy to set up and it has worked flawlessly! It's nice to add to my options to cable. Getting closer to pulling the plug!

Bought a Roku 2 with the new cpu for the bedroom tv and it has been really nice. I like all the extra channels you can find not just on the store, no other platform has this. UI is mostly responsive. Would buy again

Frequently locks uP

Bought this about a year ago and am very disappointed in the product. This device frequently locks up...at least once per week and I only use it on the weekend. It doesn't matter what channel I selectand when selected it just hangs until I unplug the device.
The remote is just as bad. The right arrow often hangs so when it is pressed and released, it just continues to move to the right and doesn't stop until I remove a battery. The button isn't stuck...It's software related.
I cannot use an HDMI cable with the device. If I do it immediately goes black after the roku starts loading channels.
I own a roku 2hd and have used it for years with very minor issues. It is a very solid device. However the roku 2 I am reviewing is garbage and I wouldn't pay a dollar for another of the same model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lot of free content to choose from. Easy to use. You can install channel app of your choice from a wide list available.

Many viewing choices, quick load time, easy to use

I bought this a few weeks ago, after using Chromecast for a while...I am so glad I decided to upgrade to the Roku 2. I researched the various options, and chose this due to the number of viewing choices available, reviews stating the Roku 2 had an unbiased search engine, and an easy to use remote. I also like not having to use another device to watch shows/movies, it's all there and accessible with the remote. Very easy to set up as well!
