Fastest, smoothest Roku ever!

I own a Roku2 XS (3100), a Roku Streaming Stick (3500), a Roku 3 (4200), and now the new Roku 2 (4210). Although it has the same processor and memory as the Roku 3, it seems snappier. And while the second generation devices work well enough, the third generation devices (Roku 2 & 3) run circles around them. The new Roku 2 brings all of this performance for a lower price, and compared to the newest Roku 3 (4230), sacrifices only a few minor features, such as voice search and audio out on the remote. Very happy with all of my Roku s.

Great streaming but not for what I needed it for

I have the Roku at home and like it, however it does freeze from time to time. I purchased one for the office for employees to take with them to play videos at trade shows, they play fine but they don't loop, I found a work-around with the "Play USB" App. it did the job but probably won't purchase anymore for work.

This little gadget cuts to the chase, and gets you watching TV instead of tearing your hair out with wifi parameters. I'm reasonably sure you could hack through to your favorite streaming services without it, but is that really worth your time and brain bandwidth? My only reservation is the remote: you need a direct line of sight from the remote to the Roku box, you need to be fairly close, and you need to aim the remote pretty accurately (and yes, mine has a fresh battery).

I upgraded from a model from a few years ago. Works perfectly, and the interface feels updated as well.

I bought this a couple months ago because I can't afford a cable bill. This is amazing because I can pay for just a Showtime and HBO subscription! Plus it was super easy to set up and start watching right away!!

What's good about ROKU 2...

ROKU 2 BOX works WELL with the HULU subscription service ($13/month). I can actually get WPRI newscasts in what appears to be almost real time. Also a lot less commercials on other shows. You can pause and back up or fast forward on most shows. I am still learning how to use things.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and bought a 64gb microSD card, and worked a long time to try to get it to work. It just kept locking up when the card was inserted. Later found out that it won't support that large of an SD card. That should've been made clear in the documentation and it shouldn't just lock up. Also, I find it a little confusing how you have to get a code to add channels. Seems awkward.
