Goodbye, cable. Hello, Roku!

We love our Roku 2 player! We've had it just a few weeks, and because we've subscribed to a few streaming services, we've barely noticed the difference between that and having cable. We would only change a few things. I would love to see a Hulu button on the remote instead of the rdio and sling channel buttons. My husband doesn't care for how far the back button takes you, but I think he's being pixy. He also thinks if we had a Roku 3 or 4 that we wouldn't experience some of the slowness we're seeing, although I think that has more to do with our current internet speed. Overall, we're very happy, and I can't see going back to a cable subscription. I can only imagine upgrading our Roku!

When my husband and I retired, we down-graded our cable plan to their basic antenna plan and purchased a roku2. Even after purchasing hull and a few other programs, we are still saving over $60 each month and getting all the programs we like to watch. I had no problems setting it up and it's very easy to use.

I bought this hoping it was faster than the stick, doesn't seem to be so far. I love the flexibility of the Roku and being able to ditch cable!!

I bought this last month and am so very glad I did. I could choose between the stick all the way to the 4. The only difference between the 2 and the 3 was the headphones.... don't care. The 4 is made for 4k tvs which I do not have so I settled on the 2. Just for HBO NOW (which is why I bought it) makes this worth it. I didn't want to continue to watch Netflix on my PS4 for fear of burning it out. I love this thing. The only thing I wish is I didn't have to pay for all the channels. But other than that I LOVE this, and can't believe I went this long without it. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the useless RDIO button on the remote and I can't re program it. Like, replace it with HULU or VUDU or something.

I bout this a few weeks ago. I'm learning how to work it. Trying to find the local news was hard. But I'm getting the hang of it.
