It would be better if you dudnt have to pay for almost everything! I bought it so that i could save money by getting rid of cable. Not so. I've been told the G Box is a much better choice. Sorry i wasted my money on this. I never use it!

No more etvnet channel.

I bought this Roku only to view etvnet channel. Since etvnet is no longer valid this Roku is useless.

Not a good alternative to TV

I bought this a month ago thinking I would eventually have to cancel my cable tv but I was wrong. You have to subscribe to so many other channels such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, to name a few in order to use this.

it is useless don't work, sling sucks I should of known better,Im on a fixed income and thought it would save me $$$$ from cable but remote don't work there is never anything on live tv. I'm going back to cable Also the box says it is WiFi it is not!

Power adapter DOA

I bought the Roku 2 the day I flew out of the country for 6 months. Arrived overseas and the power adapter did not work. Not happy at all with that

Do not like it. After paying for the device (and the cable to connect it), I found I had to pay MORE for shows I wanted to watch. Yes, there were some free shows, but mediocre selection.

Loads of options slow processor

The good: loads of apps, easy use
The bad: this has a horrible processor. This device is hard wired, to my internet servicel(75mbs). When I am on YouTube, when I fast forward, and say I want to go forward, and go forward for some time, the R2 will freeze. If I let go, and hit FF again, it will continue; this seems foolish. In addition, the FF is extremely slow. I have a Nvidia SATV and is extremely fast, when I FF. With so many streaming device options available, Roku should ensure their products are capable of fulfilling customer's demands.
Even going between apps, requests are slower to change than on other streaming devices. I would advise people not to buy the R2, spend on a better option, maybe the R4, SATV, or gaming system. I received the R2 free from Sling TV, for a 3 month prepaid deal.
