Better than cable

We got the Roku because we were tired of paying more & more on cable. We are very satisfied with it. My husband commented how we find more & better movies than we received with cable. We are saving more than $100 a month by changing to the Roku.

Bought one after trying kindle fire stick and Apple TV. Have no problems with signal. Love the buttons on the remote making it super easy to use. Went out and got another for the basement!

remote problem

My other Roku mounted on the back of my TV and the remote worked. On the new one Roku 2 the remote requires a line of sight with the unit. Ended up using the new one on the spare TV and the old one is back on the main TV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple Inexpensive Impressive Effective!

Ditched by old Blueray player with internet connectivity for the Roku 2, based on family members' recommendations. They were right! Easy to connect, right out of the box, easy to set up, thousands of stations to subscribe to. We've now ditched streaming music in favor of watching streaming YouTube videos of favorite artists. Excellent. Wonderful product.

Roku 2 (2015) is the best !

Our blu ray player had streaming but it was very limited and very slow. After doing some research we decided to 'trade up' to the Roku 2, and we're so glad we did. It's way faster, clearer, and the sound is much louder. We thought we needed a sound bar to enjoy a movie, but the Roku 2 fixed that. There is a huge selection of movies, news, and some TV series, all free. There are some pay channels, but they warn you in the description that a subscription or fees may be required for some movies; not many though. It's the best money we've spent !
