Waste of time

I got the Roku 2 about a week ago and after spending over 10 hours of trying to get this to work on my TV I am still stuck with a box that says connected but yet no apps (that I installed) show up and says I need to connect to a network...but when I check my network connection on the Roku it says I have an excellent connection (contradict yourself much Roku?) I have tried everything, even the little so called work arounds that I saw but I still have a blank screen. Never had this problem with my Amazon Fire Stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my ROKU player somewhat skeptical of how it would work. Now, call me a believer! Paired with Spotify, Sling TV, Amazon and Netflix, I never get bored.
