We purchased our Roku 2 weeks ago and so glad we did. It's been great being able to cut the ties with cable and satellite.

Set up was easy and the basic array of options is amazing. I added a few pay services and that was also simple. The whole family has quickly taken to it and everyone uses it with ease.

The best gadget I have ever bought

I bought my Roku 2 (2015) a month ago and I should say it is the best gadget I have bought, and I have quite a lot of them, it is so easy to use, lots of channel to use, you can also mirror your screen from your windows phone/tablet or PC or even android on your screen. It is so fast, and universal search just makes life much easier. I only wish it had cinamax channels too.

Really good, but there's room for improvement

I bought a Roku to compliment the Plex server I recently built. It's a really nice little box, but I would love to see some improvements. For example - I would like to see where I am at in the movie when fast forwarding. Currently it's a blank screen. I would like the search feature to work with Plex in addition to the other providers. I would like the Roku app for iOS to be more than the exact same controls as the remote control has - it would be awesome if it mirrored the Roku experience you get on the TV itself.

Fast and clean

I'm impressed with the improvements to the Roku since I last used one about 3 years ago. Sometimes I'm a little inconvenienced by needing line of sight to the box in order to navigate, but that mostly comes from having used my gaming console for streaming. The UI is clean and fast and all my streams apps work faster than they did on my console. Impressed so far.

Like the faster Speed!

I bought this 2 weeks ago to watch MLB.TV (Braves games). I already had a Roku 1 for over a year. That was is still good, but it was behind about 4 minutes from actual live game. We now use it in our upstairs bedroom to follow the game once we go upstairs.
We use the Roku 2 (faster model) downstairs in the rec room on the big screen TV. It is practically on the same time frame as actual game. It might be seconds slow as opposed to minutes with the Roku 1.
Also, on Roku 1 we have had more streaming stops and re-starts. Roku 2 has had hardly any.
