I previously owned a Roku XD. I decided to to try out the new Roku 2. WOW all the difference in the world, well worth it!!!!!!

Love having an extra Roku for my bedroom! But we have the Roku 3 in our living room and I have to say that I prefer it over the Roku 2 due to 1) The Roku 3 has a great feature that Roku 2 doesn't.....ability to "voice" search. and 2) Better quality look and feel (weighted and glossy finish as opposed to matte finish on Roku 2)

I bought this a few weeks ago and am not impressed. To much work is involved in trying to include new channels. I.e. - go go computer, enter yet another code then go back to roku and repeat and repeat and repeat. Too many channels want a fee (i.e. CBS - REALLY!) I can tivo anything on CBS on my tv why would I pay to have what I already have? Definitely not impressed and it was a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is much faster than our Roku stick, which we also love. Great deal. When I can convince my mom who is older it is easy to use we will purchase another one. Excellent !!!!
