Yeah it does everything it needs do do... But it is a bit laggy. I've had my round 2 for a bout half a year already.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought our Roku two weeks ago, and are very happy with it. Set-up was easy, and our streaming experience is much better than with the Sony BluRay. We still have problems with streaming Amazon, but Netflix is trouble free.

This particular model offers both HDMI and composite video out. This is handy if you think you might want to use it on an older TV, and also the reason I chose it. It is just a little slow browsing the menus and channel store but is expected since it is not a high end model.

Fabulous item! Bought ROKU 2 for myself last June...enjoyed so much! In last three months purchased three more.....husband, daughter and sister. EASY installation (great because I'm techno challenged)!

I used to stream with a Blu-ray player/streamer. I knew the Roku 2 would be faster, and it is. I thought it would have more channels, and it does, a lot more. I didn't know it would produce a nicer picture, but it does that, too.

Fairly new to Roku. Transitioning to free TV and Roku to supply movies and some of the cable channels. Like to see more streaming networks i.e. BRAVO, USA, and more networks added to Sling TV.
