works ok till sound static starts

this unit starts up good, and works pretty good till about an hour or so then the sound goes to completely horrible, and then have to shut it down till the next day, so I am now using a borrowed WD-live unit that works fine on the same HDMI cable, so I don't know what the deal is with it and its to late to return it to best buy because I didn't try to hook it up until about a month after purchasing it, and also the remote is iffy you have to point it directly at the unit, kind of annoying also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than cable!!

I just got rid of cable and the roku gives the flexibility of different types of free content. It also has a better, brighter picture than expensive cable.

Roku 2 - better than sliced bread

We received our Roku 2 by purchasing 3 months of Sling. Best deal ever, and we are already on our way to purchase a second Roku 2 for our bedroom. Simplistic in its use, easy set-up, and discrete. We love it.

My only problem is that when watching multiple episodes of a series (i.e. a program we've never seen before), the Roku gets hot and quits working until we cool it off for several hours.

This is my second ROKU. I love my roku stick and roku 2. I take it with me everywhere. Don't even have cable anymore. I have recommended to many and they also like their rokus
