Big improvement in performance and picture quality

I bought the Roku 2 to replace a Roku LT that I had been using for a number of years. The difference is very noticeable and a big improvement. Apps like FOX Now run much better with far less problems. Also going from 720p to 1080p makes a big difference in picture quality.

I've had the Roku 2 for a few months now, and I love it. It's great for Netflix and Pandora, Hulu, etc. I also use it with my Plex server for playing my MP3 collection from iTunes. There are some things I wish it could do, but none of them are Roku's fault: 1) Miracast doesn't work with my Nexus 6. Sadly, Google disabled Miracast in that phone. 2) There's no support for Rhapsody. Rhapsody needs to step up it's Roku game. 3) It's hard to play podcasts. There's no plugin to pull them straight from iTunes, nor can I find one to pull them from anywhere else. I have them shared as a folder in Plex, but that's really clunky. (Hint, hint-Roku, please make a plugin for this!)

Great Features, Still Needs Power Off Button

I got this product through Sling TV and the quality is great. The Features are really awesome and its really user friendly. The only thing that I would like it to have is a power on and off button since it stays on all the time but great product.

Finally a decent Roku player!. Fast and flexible, exactly what I was hoping for. Did not want to have to enter my credit card to use it, but I had no choice and so far it has been fine.

Excellent box but stick with the stick

I bought this for my vacation home and picked this unit over the streaming stick for three main reasons. 1. Ethernet port as TV is right next to router so I wouldn't need to go wireless. 2. USB port to connect a hard drive. 3. Reported faster speed than the streaming stick. In the end, I didn't see any real difference (other than the direct connect) to justify the additional cost or shelf space (small as it is) over the streaming stick, which is phenomenal and has a better remote (WiFi vs. IR).
I would recommend this to a friend!
