This TV caught my eye the moment I saw it. The picture quality and contrast are incredible. It also has surpringly good speakers for a TV. The OLED can't be beat in my opinion.

I purchased this TV back in 2016 and don't regret it. I wish LG would release new firmware updates that would allow casting as well as new apps such as Apple TV and Disney Plus. Having access to new apps would extend the life of this unit.

8 Years Later - Still Magnificent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 8 years, this OLED beauty is still going strong. For a television of this age, the picture is still jaw-dropping. Plus I'm probably one of the 14 people who still enjoy 3D, so I'm hoping my G9100 continues to perform. Someday I'll upgrade to 4K - bye bye 3D, but right now I'm perfectly satisfied and have no reason to retire this outstanding OLED 3D TV.

I bought the 55EG9100 this morning and just finished setting it up. I am absolutely blown away by the picture and clarity and colors. This is the first time the picture actually looks like it did in the store. Easy set up and the remote is fantastic. I would recommend this product to ensure every one. It blows away my 55 4k LG box.

Beautiful picture and great functionality

Bought this TV about 6 weeks ago to replace an older model Samsung 52' LCD. The size of the TV is smaller even though the screen size is 55" now. I wanted something that would fit on my fireplace mantel so I could get rid of a mounting bracket. The profile of this TV is ridiculously thin and the footprint small for the stand. The main reason I bought the LG OLED though is the picture. It is amazing. I like the fact I can use YouTube to pull up kid shows for my daughter and she likes the 3D feature. Finding Nemo is her fave. I would and have highly recommended this set. Get the 65" version if you have the room and budget.
