Almost perfect display but it beats LED TV

I would say I recommend this display but not perfect for gaming that has a lot of bright colors. Anything that has more of the same color pixels in fullscreen, games like Super Mario Maker or Super Smash Bros uses a lot of blue backgrounds the whole screen just auto dims to 50% but if anything with a black background makes the smaller color pixels stand out and stays 100% brightness which I like. I would say its perfect for Netflix movies or any movie that has a lot of dark color tones. Perfect for dark living rooms it wont strain yours eyes like most LED TVs that has too high of dynamic contrast especially very white scenery's. I hope there's a future update to fix the auto dimming when there's too much of the same color pixels it doesn't dim the TV to 50%.The 3D feature is perfect but only good for a few minutes that's the only eye strainer for me, not so big of a feature for me but more of a gimmick. The sound is good and clear but I have a good Bose system connected so I don't need harman/kardon quality from the newer models overall it sounds loud and clear without the Bose system. This is a really good TV and I can't go back to watching LED TVs again.

I went back and forth whether to get a 4K TV or an OLED. I chose this YV and can't say enough good things. The setup was super easy, the remote is awesome and the picture is second to none. To top it off, it looks like an art piece when its not on because of the beautiful stand. Worth every penny!!

Can be spectacular but has some issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv a little over a year ago and at times it can be amazing. When you have high quality content in a properly lit scene, there's no better 1080p tv. Scenes that are near black can look really bad though. You get banding, noise, and other distracting effects. This seems to be a problem with all OLED tvs.

I am an avid lover of the passive 3D system and this model has some great features, although not quite 4K. But I would have given it a perfect rating if I could have downloaded apps of my choice and not been locked into ones that only LG provide (most of which are useless to mono lingual Australians like me!). Also some of the features are a bit clumsy like Screenshare - until you get used to it. Alan

OLED Is The Best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this television for over a year now and I have to say it's by far the best picture in the 55" class. They may cost more but they are defiantly worth it. Do not hesitate if you are considering a OLED TV.

Incredible Black Levels and Contrast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV may even be better than its newer sibling we got-the LG 65C6P. This EG9100 has incredible black levels for watching new movies and streaming shows. The quality is sharp. The lighting of blacks and whites, bright and dark on the screen is obvious and you can see the difference.
