I reported in another review the plates are hard to clean and completely lost their non-stick quality. Customer service was excellent and sent me new plates. I have since discovered the old plates can be about 95% rejuvenated by using a plastic polish such as Hut Ultra Gloss, a cotton cloth and some effort. Also, use nothing but a sponge or cloth to clean them; do not use "non-scratch" rough sponges meant for teflon. I still believe the coating needs to be re-evaluated but I have raised my rating from 1 star to 3.

Issues with sear function

I bought the Evolve grill a few months ago. I am just now trying to learn to use it. I have watched every video I can find on use. If I try to use the sear it does not go off...ever unless I manually turn it off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another sticking plate review..

The grill worked great for the first 6 months then EVERYTHING started sticking to the plates, which ruins the food. There is no "wiping the plates clean". It's not worth the hassle of soaking & super scrubbing them over a burger.... a burger that has no top being it stuck to the plates! Terrible product.

Love It!! Wish it was larger!!

We have owned ours for several months and use it three or more times a week. We appreciate the ceramic grill plate. It is much easier to clean and keep clean and our food has not been sticking. The only down side is that we would like a bigger surface so we can cook more items at a single time. Hope to add some of the other plates in the future.

Just sent one back after a week as it stopped working then just recieved our new one and that stopped working really cross, all lights up beeps when ready but no heat. the little bit of cooking I have managed to do is great. What next ??? Carl

Evolve---many extra plates!

I have used many George Foreman grills over the years. I have had every size and shape. My third Evolve grill stopped working this week; the power light is on, but nothing heats. With my first Evolve, I bought additional plates, plus I have all the plates that came with the following two grills. I love having the option of changing the cooking plates, but I wish the Evolve grill was longer lasting. I have to decide if changing plates is worth replacing the grill regularly, or find a creative use for many plates!

I loved how it cooked everything

I didn't use mine very much only when I wanted to fix a steak, fish, or chicken. Maybe a dozen (plus or minus) meals. I had it five months and it gave up. I think it is the design of the model. The buttons you push for it are not solid but soft to the touch and hard to know when they have been pushed.
I was hoping for a longer life as I have had these grills for many years and never a problem with any of them.
I liked the fact that you could remove the plates as it made it much easier to clean. Food washed right off and never a problem. I forgot one time to take them out to wash and weeks later the food just slid off easily. I never washed them in a dishwasher but by hand. That could possibly be the clue with some people saying they did not get clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
