I purchased this based on the reviews for the appliance. It worked for less than three minutes and now it does not do anything of value -- like work. It doesn't heat, it doesn't turn on. If I leave it unplugged for a day or so it will attempt to preheat for as long as it takes me to turn my back like an unruly toddler defying naptime. However, if you want a deluxe paperweight with accessories, you would do well to purchase this multi-piece object of inanimate disappointment. At least a toddler will evolve into a human being in most instances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hope the reviews are due to a manufacturing glitch and will get resolved soon? I only gave it a 3 star, because I haven't used it yet. This unit looks awesome. I just received this for Christmas and can't wait to use it. Hope all the bugs are worked out. I'll let you know.

I just purchased a new Evolve Red 5 serving Foreman indoor grill as both a wedding anniversary and mothers day gift, and was a little disappointed. we have not used it 'yet as we may return it and figure out another option as we have the older model GRP99QVC which my wife purchased her first Foreman Indoor Grill from QVC about 9 or 10 years ago. She loved that machine and used it so much that the Teflon coating on the lower and upper removable plates wore off and all the food keeps sticking so I thought I'd treat her to a new George Foreman Grill, with what appeared to be 5 different plates based on the advertising and pictures on the box and in the store (target) display signage. After purchasing and gifting the Foreman grill, my wife opened the package and looked for the additional Waffle and griddle and slider plates which I thought were included based on the way the advertising for the product was both in store and on the box, but were not included the advertising sticker on the inside lid of the box said that it was an additional option, (the 5 serving did not mean 5 different plates, it meant that it could cook up to 5 servings of food) Additional disappointment was that after placing the box in storage until the manufacturers warranty expires in 3 years, I noticed that only on the box did it give the web address to Georgeforemancooking.com, nowhere in the users manual or on the grill bottom did it give this address which is the main link to ordering replacement parts and accessories, only on the box was it located. and lastly, the surface of the ceramic griddle plates seemed rough in texture, which I do know should not be the case in obtaining a non stick surface. I can run my fingernails along the ceramic surface and feel what feels like overspray grit along much of the surface of the griddle plates. I love the older Foreman grill and thought that evolve meant it got better with age, not poorer quality. like I said, just disapponted. and to think I purchased an additional 2 year replacement warranty too.

I bought this toaster about 2 weeks ago, i used it literally for three days. And out of nowhere it stopped working. It does not turn on and i only used it to make sandwiches. worst grill i have ever had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than our old Foreman but has some quirks

Our five-year-old Foreman grill stopped working well, so we replaced it with the Evolve Grill system. We've only used the new grill 2 or 3 times, but here's our experience so far: Pros - The searing feature actually browns meat, whereas the old version just steamed food. The adjustable time and digital temperature settings are a huge advance over the previous version of this grill (which had two settings, "high" and low," and no timer). The ceramic plates are super easy to clean (moreso than the "nonstick" surface of the previous model). Cons: We are still trying to figure out how to work the time and temperature controls and coordinate with the searing option. The searing option is supposed to cancel automatically after 90 seconds, but it stays on. Also, the adjustable hinge is very unstable when the top section is raised, and you have to reset it whenever the lid is raised. Overall, this model is a significant improvement over the old Foreman grill we owned, but some features are quirky.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Christmas gift

We have always enjoyed using the George Foreman grills but didn't like the way that was required to clean them. The newer ones, however, with removable grill plates have really made them so much better. We have used it for waffles, bacon, sandwiches and other meals and we love it. Great product.

I have owned a George Foremen grill before and this one was a replacement for it. This one is just as great. I love the removable plates. The new sear feature is great also. We use this alot.
