Ceramic Horrible

After a few months everything started sticking to the ceramic plates. Now I waste a lot of time cleaning the ceramic plate. Disappointing for being a grill of excellent quality with the other plates.

Ceramic plates not that great

I bought this grill on 11/10/2017 and initially loved it. The ceramic plates were initially extremely slick. Within the last month the ceramic on the plates has started to come off. Before grilling, I apply a light coat of vegetable oil. After grilling, I clean them by hand using Dawn and a soft cloth. The plates have not been abused at all but are losing their coating after only 3 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great upgrade to my old George Foremen Grill

I got this for Christmas and love the new surface. the waffle plates are great when the grandchildren come over for breakfast. they enjoy helping Papa mix the batter and cooking the waffles. the ceramic surface is so much easier to clean, almost fun because it is so easy. I have one question. No matter how long I leave the grill on, the temperature never stops flashing. Does this mean that the temperature is not reaching the displayed temperature, or is that normal. Thanks for the great line of products. The old grill will go to the summer home to be enjoyed for years to come!

Non-stick doesn't last

Got this for a Christmas present last year and within the first 6 months the ceramic grill plates are no longer non-stick. Burgers stick and burn to the top plate and it's so hard to get clean. I like that you can swap out the accessories and like the waffle plates. We have the baking dish and muffin pan but haven't used them yet. If you plan on using this a lot like we do I would warn against it. Great idea but poor execution.

Broke after a couple years of light use

I know we live in a throw away society but this thing broke after two years (or less) of light use. If i turn it on and attempt to increase temp or set the timer it turns off. I wouldn't be so miffed about it if i hadn't invested so much into the different detachable cooking surfaces which are now useless.

Good idea, but top plate overheats & hard to clean

I received this grill as a Christmas gift last year and have used it primarily for grilling hamburgers. The first time I used it, the burgers cooked well, but I noticed the top plate had a lot of juices concentrated in the center that were blackened. When I cleaned the plates in the sink with warm running water over them, I noticed the area where the sticking was had light scratches. I had not noticed these before I used the grill, but I'm assuming they were there from the beginning and may be causing the higher heat in that section.
Other than this problem and the difficulty in cleaning that section of the top plate, I've enjoyed having the easy option of making hamburgers for my family on busy nights. I'm looking forward to finding other options for cooking and have seen some ideas on this website now that I've found it!

Grill size

I had to return the 4248MB because it was defective. I reordered the4248 Platnium it arrived today and I have to tell you the cooking area is much smaller

Use mine all the time!

I recieved this as a Christmas gift, didnt' use it much at first, no real reason. Pulled it out months ago, now it stays on the counter all the time. So easy to clean. The only negative is the lid seams a little 'klunky' when opening and closing, but I still love it!
