Only one problem

I like this product with one exception. The grill plates are not non-stick and are getting almost impossible to clean. I am down to using goop off and a tooth brush and there is still residue. I have never used aerosol products to make sure this didn't happen. I am satisfied with it in all other ways (except maybe the sear feature - I always seem to get a burned result).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would Be Great If....

The top ceramic plate IS NOT non-stick. Food has stuck to it since day one. Always have to pry food loose from the top plate. Disappointed because I replaced another George Grill that had removable plates that did not stick. Wish I had kept that one. Haven't used the attachments because I am afraid they are going to stick as well. Should have returned it when I had the chance.

Replaces two appliances

I have been using my grill for over 2 weeks and have no complaints. The SEAR feature is great! Sirloin steaks cooked to perfection in just a few minutes - without the hassle. Healthier - fat just drips off. Have not used the waffle iron yet. I see other postings about sticking on the upper plate. I did notice in the instruction book that you should not use cooking spray on the ceramic coating. I use a silicon brush and corn oil to coat the plates.

Great grill until I changed the plates

I got this as a replacement for my older sunbeam model. I have had the Evolve for a little over a week.I decided to make waffles so I removed the grill plates for the first time. Until now I've been cleaning them with a warm soapy sponge on the grill itself. Now the Evolve will not work. When I press the on/off button nothing happens there continues to be red dashes on the display where once a temperature would appear.

Sticking!!!

I have been using is grill for several months - following the user instructions to the letter. BUT, WHY, does my grill stick?? It's quite funny to put boneless chicken thighs on the grill, to return to check and find the chicken gone, all stuck to the lid of the grill. As time goes by the sticking is getting worse. WHAT CAN BE DONE.

Grill plate material sticks to everything

I had the big grey model with temp and timer the only thing I didn't like was the plates would slip off, But the grill plate dark grey surface was durable for years , When I seen the new evolve i thought it was an upgrade. I wish I would have never purchase this model.everything sticks to it. Cleaning it is a chore, I just cooked a bubba burger and had to use 2 hands to pry it open. my burger was stuck on both plates. this why I took to writing this review. the plates don't go down enough to do fish sticks well and the plates sometimes don't lay down evenly on food

Grills Are Bad - Not Nonstick

I've had my grill since March. I was excited about getting a new grill with ceramic plates. Now I'm so disappointed with the new purchase. I like to cook fish on it but even salmon as oily as it is sticks very badly. Most of the fish I started cooking in a non-stick ceramic pan and the George Foreman just sits on the counter. I have to soak the plates for hours and then still scrub them to get them clean. I spend 30 minutes cleaning the plates and I bought this to save time. I have ceramic pans and my cleanup is a couple of minutes which is why I purchased this appliance.

Love it, but....

I purchased this product over six months ago and I love it...but I can no longer use it because the up and down arrow buttons no longer work.. All I can do is power it on, it preheats at 300 degrees for 5 minutes. I have to turn it off and power it on again for additional time (5 mins). It's impossible to cook a meal like
this. I would hate to get rid of it but in its present condition it is useless to me.
