I would recommend this to any small business, (for the price it is unbeatable) that needs copy and scan - we copy and scan up to 24 pages at a time and walk away !
The only hassle is filling paper bin, having to close paper tray each time and forgetting to pull back out - should reverse them !

I have used this printer now for a couple of months. I do not get any where near the projected amount of prints that is is rated for. I print a lot of photos and find that photo paper will not feed through the draw on the front of the printer. They have to be fed through the feeder in the back and the printer jams if you try to feed them from the front. It also uses a lot of ink and the ink is expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An excellent printer - pricey ink

The Epson WF-4630 is an excellent printer. It has many significant improvements over the WP 4530 that we replaced it with which was also an excellent printer in its' time.
The printer is a bargain. I spent my life in manufacturing engineering and I would dread having to make such a beautifully designed and built printer for such a low price. Alas, nothing in this world is free and like all printers it needs ink. The ink is pricey. Bottom line------ taken together the printer and the ink combine to make a very attractive package of a high performance and economical printer. OF COURSE THAT IS WHY WE DECIDED TO BUY THE EPSON, AND THE EPSON BEFORE IT - THEY MAKE A SUPERIOR PRODUCT PACKAGE.

The WF-4630 is Great

I had a CX4800 for my years (>7) before needing to be replaced. The WF4630 is a fantastic machine. Very good print and picture quality, speedy, and uses little ink. Has a replaceable ink waste dump cartridge - which means you can do a lot of printing without having problems.
Bottom line - it is a great machine for relatively low cost.

I have been disappointed in the print quality for photos....and when I try higher quality or glossy

I never know what will mysteriously make the machine jam...it indicates a paper jam when there isn't one...it forces me to use the back/upper paper tray...
It somehow seems to 'fix itself' after print sessions..turning it off/on doesn't seem to help.

Way too many confusing options for the novice, that would be me. Trying to scan shouldn't be that complicated. Changing settings for photo copies shouldn't be that complicated. I didn't get a manual of course, but you need one. Everything else is fine.If you could make my life easier, bring it.
