poor performance

We purchased the WF-4630 and out of the box it would not print on 8 1/2 x 14 paper from the feeder. It would print from the top feeder but not from the tray.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I CANNOT RECALL ANY PROBLEMS WITH EPSON PRODUCTS... I HAVE JUST RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT AND, THUS FAR, THE SET UP HAS BEEN VERY EASY. I STILL HAVE TO SET UP THE REMOTE FEATURES.THE REGISTRATION PROCESS HAS BEEN EASY... THANKS,

I just purchased and set up this printer today so I can't speak to its longevity but I will say the print quality is great and print time is fast. Also, and most important to me, is the software set up. I followed the software's simple instructions and Can now wirelessly print from all my devices. Both Apple and Windows based. Exactly what I was looking for. Great value for the money .
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mac Setup Not Simple

I got it to work, but only after an hour of frustration.
1. There is no instruction anywhere (in the box or in the download) on how to connect to a wireless network. You have to poke around on the printer's control panel.
2. The setup instructions in the dmg package are clear about which Mac printer configuration to use (Bonjour), but you have to wait about 2 minutes for the printer to appear in the Bonjour menu. This delay is not documented ...
3. DON'T CHANGE THE NAME OF THE PRINTER! The setup utility could not find my personalized printer name. Use the default.
4. After getting it to work with one MacBook Pro (OS-X 10.10), I tried installing it on a second MBP. The download (dmg) for Mac OS-X v. 10.7 (downloaded separately to, and specifically for, the 2nd MBP and 10.7) did not work. I got an error - when using the dmg and after installing the drivers and "adding" the printer and choosing the Epson drivers. The dmg tries to find the software online and download it from Apple, except I just downloaded it from Epson. Result: I got an error that the "driver software does not exist. Contact the manufacturer." So I deleted the download and started over. This time the printer drivers did load, and the printer was added to System Preferences -- but the installer package INCORRECTLY stated that installation was incomplete ("you did not select the Epson printer drivers; would you like to return to the previous page?"). But I hit the "continue" button and I can print at last.

A long and tedious path for something that should be simple.
BTW: Epson provides support only via email - there is no phone number to call.

Printer failure

I purchased my first WF-4630 three months ago. A few weeks back the printer reported an error and began printing only blank pages. I called tech support who, after helping me troubleshoot the issue for 30 minutes, told me the machine had hardware issues and they would replace it with a new one under warranty. I'm on unit 2. Hopefully, this one lasts longer...

EPSON WF4630

It a great printer while it works. It broke around 2 years which I think it's a little too soon for a mid size printer. I brought another one to finish up my ink but I don't think I will buy it again after this one.
It's used in our retail store so it wasn't use too extensively but did get use a fair amount.

Plastic Parts

After getting this machine for home use, we found that it was cheap, has alot of plastic parts like trays both front and rear paper trays, does not hold alot of paper and you are always refilling the tray for copying. It jams on pictures from the rear tray.
