Good for two years

I have two WP-4530 and I needed another printer but the 4530 was not available and the WF-4630 was recommended as a newer and more advanced model, so I bought it. Both 4530s are working excellent, one of them for more than 4 years but about 3 months ago, the WF-4630 started missing lines when printing. The print head cleaning worked at the beginning but last week it just did not improve any more. So, you can buy it if you want a printer for 2 years or less.

I bought the Epson Workforce Pro WF-4630 because consumer reports said it was the best for the money. They sure were right. I have had this for a couple of months now and I just love it. My first time buying an Epson. Very Happy

Makes black and white copies to dark

I like every thing about my Epson but it makes back and white copies to dark. I copy typed pages and the white area also comes out dark. Have thought about taking the machine back.

Quick, easy, painless!

Setup and registration was quick, easy, and painless! No looking for serial numbers (software does it automatically) or entering long, complicated network security codes for printers already on the network. Epson designers did a great job of thinking this process through from the customer standpoint.

I just have to say I love this all-in-one printer, fax, scanner copier. If your thinking about getting a smaller version(DON'T). Get the all-in-one version for your simple needs. This is the easiest machine to set up and it does everything great. I originally thought all I needed was a small printer for my needs, but I only had problems with the smaller units. This was a breeze. I highly recommend this unit even if its just for copying. The smaller units from my experience are just plain trouble. This WF-4630 unit isn't that much more money and BELIEVE ME you will be glad you picked this bigger unit.

Great home printer

I am very happy with the printer overall but I have noticed that I tend to get streaks on my copies after I have been printing for a while. I have even had lines missing from black and white copies. Once I clean the ink jets and run maintenance it clears up the problem. I was just disappointed with the wasted time and resources that I had to reuse from hitting print and walking away

Arvada Dr WF-4630

I purchased the Epson Pro WF-460 to replace a very old but reliable HP Printer that finally quit working. During the week of February 17, 2017, Office Depot had a sale going on Epson printers where I could purchase a good printer at a price I was willing to pay and even get more credit for turning in my old printer. After researching through many sources, reading reviews both good and bad, I decided to try the Epson brand for the first time in my long computing experience.
The printer works perfectly for my printing needs.
I also do a lot of scanning. The scanning is just a bit more clumsy than what I had with HP. It feels as if there are a lot of steps to get to the final "file". There seems to be no simple way of previewing a scan before knowing if I need to change contrast and other fine tuning of image. HP had a "crop image" before saving to a file I especially liked. I'm hoping that it is simply that I do not know the correct order of steps for the Epson scanning process.
I have also tried to find and learn the Epson OCR process. Again there seem to be no clear step-by-step instructions. I have downloaded recommended upgrade driver files but still not sure how it works. (In a business office setting, I used a very good OCR program. Of course, I'm sure it was expensive! And I do not rate the OCR function as anything more than a curiosity for my home use.)
Lastly, I was hoping to cut my ink costs from what HP was. I cannot say how that is going to work out just yet. I bought replacement ink when I bought the printer and it cost more than the HP ink I was using in my old printer. However, I can say that I am still using whatever came original with the new printer, so maybe ink will last longer.
