not user friendly

We are big problems with just sending pdfs scans, no matter what we try we can't get it to work! like the printing and it's pretty quick but we scan most our documents and if I can't do that very very simply then I have no use for the machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unreliable, frustrating, poor quality

After researching printers for 3 months I finally landed on this one. For the first month I felt I had made a wise choice---but since then I have wasted HOURS and HOURS trying to make this machine work consistently. The print quality and speed are great, but it this largely wireless world this printer fails on every axis. I have tried both the wireless and the wired connections, but no matter which way I install it (which I have 'installed' it no less than 40 times) the machine only communicates 15% percent of the time for a few hours, or--gasp--even a few days, then simple will not communicate to any of my devises on the network. I have run too many network diagnostics to count, and every one says that it is hooked up properly and Epson's on board diagnostics also agree that everything is in order.
I have fought with this poorly made machine for 7 months now hoping that I will be able to figure out a way to make it work consistently, but the fact is that this machine CAN'T be relied upon to ever do that. I will do all I can to return it, and if that fails it is going to be destroyed and trashed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing

The scanning capabilities are 2nd to none. The scans look like the original and it scans both sides of the documents in one sweep. This Epson model prints beautiful high end images and quickly. We are buying a 2nd one :) Thanks Epson!!

New Printer for Mac OS 10.11

Hi, I struggled with my old printer with the OS system upgrade. From what I could read on the internet this was the machine to get. It is probably overkill for personal use, but looks to be solid.
I walked through the set up carefully and was able to hook up to wireless printing - which is great - no more running the laptop to the printer!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved my old workforce- replaced with the WF-4630 and nothing but problems. Network problems, paper jams, paper size issues. Nightmare!

Jets Clogged

I purchased the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4630 in mid 2105.
Unfortnately the printer jets have clogged and nothing I do can unclog them. I find myself wasting ink trying to constantly clean the heads, but it never works. No way to wipe them like I have with other printers.

Great Machine, but...

I have had this printer for a couple of months now and have been very pleased with the quality of its printing. I was not sure about the whole "new kind of inkjet" sales pitch, but I must admit that the text quality is very good and picture quality far surpasses my, admittedly, old color laser printer.
However, before I purchased the printer, I had read a number of warnings about Epson's software. Being at least an intermediate computer user (not advanced, but I can usually work through any normal issues), I usually dismiss those types of concerns as coming from people who are just "tech-free". Unfortunately, in this case, I should have listened more closely. I have never struggled so much trying to get multiple computers to be able to use a single printer - even the computer connected to the printer physically, via the router, has problems (when registering the printer with Epson, using that very computer, not even they could detect the printer automatically). I will probably work through it eventually, when I have the time, but it should not be this difficult.
On a separate software note, the scanner software (for the computers that can connect) seems to work very well and I have not had any problems with it.
A personal irritation: I have never used a multi-function printer as my main printer before, usually just for its scanner and copier abilities and as an emergency back-up. I did not realize how annoying the little flip tray for printer output could be with regular use. I get it, there is a scanner on top, so it cannot go there (or can it), but still...As I said, a personal irritation and I am not going to give the printer a lower rating for it, it probably works fine for most people and I knew it was that way when I bought it.

Constantly getting error 0.97 Error codes do not show what causes this error. I paid for a better printer for working at home. Horrible experience!
