Wonderful reliability

The reliability of this Epson WF-4630 has been its best feature. Never a paper jam. Always accurate ink level reports. Simply the best printer I've purchased.

Not made for daily printing in a job place.

I've had this printer for 3, maybe 4 years, now. At first it was great, as I only use it for basic black and color printing...no heavy graphics, large print jobs, or high resolution jobs, as our office has a larger multifunction printer for those type of print jobs. After a year, the color printing no longer worked. I've followed steps for cleaning, replaced cartridges (always using the Epson brand), software updates, and all other recommendtions. It then became an expensive black & white printer only, as it still pulled from the color cartridges of course. Now I am constantly receiving an Ox97 error code, which I believe is a hardware malfunction. I have been powering the printer down, unplugging for a few minutes, and the repowering. This works for a few days and then it's back to the error code. I understand that electronics now a days are condsidered "old" after a year or so, but I only print about 15-20 pages a day on this machine that is stationary on my desk. I would recommend shelling out the few extra dollars for either a laser jet or anything but this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this inkjet unit to print photos. So many other printers have such wimpy ink capacity. It printed over 200 beautiful 4x6 photos before starting to have error code 0x97 intermittently. I'm not ready to give up hope yet. If I could just trust it to work I would love this printer.

Worked well for 2 years

this printer worked well for two years and then stopped printing. Our former HP printer lasted 10 years or more - I will stick to HP from now on.

I bought years ago, and still reliable faithful credible printer. Continuous support of Epson Company is definitely the biggest factor to buy the same brand in the future, building block of the lasting cunsumer
