Good printer (all in one)

Have had this unit in service for several months. It has been doing a good job. I like the inks better than others I have used. The scanning functions are great. The document feeder works better than my old all-in-one, it can take more pages and rarely pulls 2 pages at once. Helpful for us as we are in Real Estate and typical contracts run 20~25 pages. In use with Adobe Acrobat Pro am able to pull out and reorder pages and to separate pages into different files easily. Very happy with WF-4630.

Set up was quick and easy on my wireless network, both with the printer and the computer.
B&W printing is very sharp and clear. Colors are great. Prints fast. Prints well. Impressed! Solid machine. Scores high in comparison printer reviews on the internet. Just what I was looking for.

The WorkForce Pro 4630 is fast w/ impressive resolution in text and graphics. Ink supply (longevity) is far above standard cartridges, designed for InkJet Printers. Settings are convoluted, as in one side vs two sided printing. Manual setting for one side 'only' is very difficult to achieve. Settings NOT intuitive.
Simple features are not present, e.g., when faxing, there is no verification that fax is sending (hand shake), or a confirmation that fax was sent--none. Printing out a form validating that fax was sent (History) is arcane (difficult). j

Statement of the obvious but this all in one really does everything as advertised. Very dependable for day to day printing, from black and white to color presentations, as well as photos.
The automatic document feeder works well for scanning multiple pages as well as faxes.
Setup on multiple laptops and desktops was very easy and downloading firmware updates from the Epson website was easy.
We are very pleased as the Workforce delivers as advertised.

My only two complaints with this product are the USB outlet is extremely touchy leaving this feature one rarely accessible and the touchscreen does not respond to finger touch very well so I have to use a pencil eraser. But, for a Math teacher such as myself, this isn't a big deal because I always have pencils around. LOL Otherwise, everything about this product is a dream come true! The ink efficiency is phenomenal so it has already paid for itself in less than 6 months in ink savings alone. The ink, connectivity, scanning capabilities, and printing are all more reliable than any other printing/scanning device I've had...and I've had a LOT of them! The ink color is more true to screen color than any other printer I've owned as well. And, the best part is how user-friendly it all is!! The touch screen makes everything so simplistic which means time-saving in my life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Biggest piece of junk ever!

When I first bought this printer I thought it was fantastic. No sooner did the factory warranty run out did the error code 097 start. I followed the instructions to repair it but to no avail. Since the product was out of warranty I was stuck. I decided to purchase a used one online for a fraction of the repair cost. Again it worked wonderfully for a month. Then the dreaded 097 code returned. I still could not fix the issue. I decided to begin to swap parts with my original printer, that I kept incase I needed parts. I started with swapping the print head. The code remained. Then I swapped the mother board. The code went away for another month. The following month I tried to scan a document and it printed garbled and backwards and finally gave an error code of 010. I was unable to do anything to get the 010 code to go away.
Save yourself the time money and effort and avoid this printer. Do not buy it new and especially do not buy it used as you will likely end up with the 097 error and out t he money as well.
