Too many little issues

Never had an Epson before, not sure I would buy another one. Too many little issues to deal with you're using it for business.
1-first machine I purchased the print head went on it 32 days after purchase.
2-continually having to wipe down screen because lines appear on scans.
3-scanner decides it's not going to work. First thing in the morning it says warming up or busy. Usually have to wait 15 minutes then turn it off and on again. During the day it seems like every time you need to use it this warning appears.
4-after 5-6 scans it stops due to phantom paper jam. Never had a paper jam yet.
5-too many steps to do just to scan.
These issues are a nuisance and time consuming.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stay away from this printer!

I had to have this printer replaces after 10 months of very light use. It gave a an 0097 error code which apparently is due to a hardware issue.
You cannot use 3rd party ink which makes replacement ink very costly.
Unlike some of my older Epson printers This printer does not allow you to email directly from the printer.
It does not come with a printed manual. Making set up very difficult to do unless you have a computer close by or you want to print a very large manual.
I have been a long time Epson printer user.
This will be my last one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer has performed very poorly from the beginning. Lines and smears are common. I've done all the maintenance and it has never improved the performance. I would avoid this printer. It was a waste. There is a YouTube video of a customer that was so frustrated he used a shotgun to fix it permanently. There were many comments from other users that felt it was the only solution to their problems.

Solid Performance!

Have used this unit for a couple months now. Although we have an IT Dept., I was able to set it on the network w/o assistance. Have used it outside of the office at a conference and it worked like a charm with WiFi, so set-up is very intuitive.
In my office setting-it's mainly a 1-user unit and the only disappointment is the unusual delay in printing once you've queued a job. May be related to our network configuration, so I've learned to overlook that.
Otherwise have been quite satisfied with this EPSON product...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got rid of an HP printer with the purpose of buying a higher quality product. The learning curve is steep. Document feeder/rollers have worked poorly. Print for PDF scans is poor.
