great performance

I have found that this printer will rapidly scan to memory device or computer and will also rapidly print to paper. It has saved me many hours of copy/scan/print time. Ink cartridge replacement is quick and simple and I am happy with cost per page. Easy to fix the few paper jams (mostly my fault) that have occurred.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lousy Technology

Had this printer for about a year and it's already failing. The issue is the ink has to travel a distance from the cartridge to the print head and both eventually become clogged. I've tried all the recommended procedures to fix the solution but still, the print is terrible. In the process, I've also burned through half of four new ink cartridges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this printer specifically for its duplexing feature. Mistake! We print lots of newsletters, flyers, postcards and letters. It took me 2 1/2 days to figure out how to get the rear feed to actually print even one side of my postcard. Using the paper cassette was not an option. There are too many different settings that one has to change before printing, and when I finally the rear feed to respond on a practice sheet, I discovered THERE IS NO AUTOMATIC DUPLEXING!. You have to physically get up and turn the paper over. Never mind that it's confusing as to how to re-load the paper to print the other side. There is no logical way to stop a "cancel" and I had to turn the printer off and back on. Then it still was stuck in "cancel" mode because I couldn't find anywhere on the printer to cancel the "cancel." I had to delete the whole queue and start over again. So far I'm not happy at all with the printer in any case. I don't have the time to go over and over the manual just to print out a flyer or postcard. Needs an INTUITIVE re-design to make it easy for ALL users to print out WHAT THEY WANT without having to go to the settings continuously.

Short term printer

I bought one a year and a half a go and starting having problems with the print head clogging. Took back and got another one. Guess what the same problem is starting again. WE are teachers and use a fair amount. Should not be doing what it is doing. Print head clogs on red and possibly yellow only. Have ran different cleanings and still does not take care of problem. FIX THE PROBLEM!!!

Take my word...DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER!!! ERROR CODE OX 97

I bought three of the WorkForce Pro 4630. Near the end of the first year, one printer was completely inoperable and displayed ERROR CODE OX 97. When this error code appears you cannot fix it, according to Epson. Fortunately, it was within a day or two of the warranty period so Epson replaced it with a "rebuilt" model.
A second printer, just 19 months of owning it, is displaying the same ERROR CODE OX 97. Unfortunately, it is beyond the year warranty period, so I am out of luck.
Check for yourself, Google the Internet and see how many people have experienced this same problem with ERROR CODE OX 97!
Great printer, until it breaks!
