Good at first, but quickly deteriorated.

Had this since Dec., 2014. Worked well for the first year or so, then print quality deteriorated significantly. Tried to clean heads several times with no success. Then started getting error messages. Repair shop said it is a fatal error and will cost more than the machine is worth to fix it. Mother board is shot. Very disappointed in a printer that only lasted 18 months. The disposable society is dragging me down.

I have owned this printer for 4 months. We use it to print monthly billing and a few items for personal use. In other words, this printer is minimally used. The print quality is terrible. Many of the lines are fuzzy. I have done all of the maintenance that you are able to without taking it apart. Very frustrating!

Epson WorkForce 4630

We have been using the 4630 for about 10 days. Have used all the functions except for Fax. Overall - very happy camper.
We are accessing the printer from 2 Windows laptops and one iMac. All connections are wireless. Installation was a bit time consuming due to having to download large files. The Windows downloads went pretty quick. The Mac download took a long time. Other than that it was a smooth, relatively painless operation. All the connections were accomplished without sacrificing very many brain cells.
The previous printer (a different brand) printed quickly once it started. But it might sit there and make noise for 3 minutes first, before printing anything. The 4630 is responsive and spits out pages very quickly - no delays.
Print quality on plain paper is great - text and images. Have not tried photo paper yet.
The printer drivers are well designed and pretty much intuitive. The touch screen menus are also much more friendly and intuitive than previous printer from a different manufacturer.
I like having the complete user guide, but thanks to well designed interface, I haven't needed the manual very much.
When I first accessed the ink level report from the Mac, it said the Yellow was almost out. Didn't make sense. I had not printed that much color. Shortly thereafter there was a driver update. Now ink supply is OK. Have not run out of ink in any color yet, so can't speak to how long they last, but if the report is accurate, it should print quite a few pages.
Have played with the scan function a bit and find that the resolution can be set high enough for anything I might need. Very sharp images produced from scanning a photo.
Have had zero paper jams or feeding problems.
This is a nice machine with all the functionality needed for home based small business.

Initial load drained the yellow tank

As stated in the title, I have only had this printer long enough to set it up, it used almost all the yellow ink just to set it up to the point I now have to purchase a new yellow ink tank before starting any large printing job. This surely a problem that should not be ocurring. That is why I gave it two stars. Having read other reviews I was under the impression that it was really good on ink use.

Dissatisfied Customer

I have been very satisfied with most of the Epson Products that I have used until I met this one called Workforce Pro wf 4630. My brother talked me into using or trying another Epson. The quality of the print output in the past was great. This system is very user unfriendly. There was not a lot of thought going into this printer...I really wish I had never tried this system.

Frustration

We are pretty disappointed in the wireless capability of this product. We have one computer we print from in the office and it cannot even process a print job from that computer. Constantly in "error state" and frozen. Just bought it about two months ago. Pretty disappointing.

high hopes

Based on the reviews for the 4630 I had high hopes for printer. Unfortunately after setup the Auto doc feeder wouldn't feed. The other features such as print speed, quality of print and ease of setup were very good. However I returned the printer, and instead of a replacement I will try another brand.
