This is the first Epson product I have owned. So far I am very pleased. I am most impressed with the quietness of the operation. Previously, I had to close the door to the room when making copies after someone else had gone to bed. Copy quality (color and B&W), photo quality, ease of operation, and speed of operation are all excellent. I had a question about fax set-up and was able to get my answer from the Epson web site without any problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Next best to a laser

I really, really love this printer. It is set up and works like an expensive office grade laser. I like the rear tray and have envelopes set up and ready all the time. Scanning is very intuitive. I would never buy another printer without a document feeder as this is very handy.
THE ONLY CON: This printer replaced the Workforce 4540, which only lasted 21 months before the printhead failed. However, for the price it is still an excellent machine.

I just setup the printer and it was the easiest WiFi setup I have ever experienced. If this printer prints like it setup, it will be awesome.

Best deal for the features

We are very happy so far. Been using the new printer/scanner/fax for about a week. We have been using the Artisan line of Epsons for about 4 years, (for a lot more money). The only artisan feature the WF 4630 doesn't have that we miss is cd/dvd printing, otherwise it is equal or better in every way. Great speed for both b&w and color printing and scanning. I love the two high capacity paper cassettes as well. Haven't used the back feed feature yet, but am looking forward to using it for envelope printing. The one doubt I have so far is the quality of photo printing, as the new WF does not have as many colors to use for this feature. 4 vs 6 from past printers. We print few photos. Mostly text with colored logo's etc. So far they have been great.

So Far So Good

Overall the printer is working fine. My only two complaints thus far are: 1) You cannot scan to OCR and create an editable document. My former printer was much less expensive and had this ability/software. Spent hours looking for a way to do this with this product to no avail. Ultimately had to buy an expensive OCR software product to do it. This is something that should have been included as this is not an entry level Epson product. 2) Ink is costly and have not found anywhere to get at a discount or where a coupon would apply.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unable to Use

I cannot even get a test page to print. My cartridges are all installed properly (with a click) and it keeps not recognizing all of them. Not sure what to do at this point except return printer.

This will be an update to my first review. After spending too much time setting up ( my thoughts)
I rebooted everything and wireless connections and printing of documents as well as photos works seamlessly.
So sorry my first review was a bit harsh. I still need a little training with wireless setups it seems.
Great printer, easy to use and the colors are better.

Just bought the Epson WF-4630. Color images are nice, but I need to print on brochure paper, and the system does not allow me to load that in the paper tray. 'Special' paper has to be loaded in the rear paper feed, and from there the printer feeds more than one sheet at a time and repeatedly jams. There is also a problem with smears of black ink on the pages.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
