Epson WF-4630 Wifi Printer/Scanner/Fax

We bought our printer today and within less than 20 minutes we went thru initial set up and driver install, faxed a document, registered my product, and printed a school paper. Super easy install and fast, quality print. I am not tech savvy whatsoever. The install instructions (only 6 steps) and driver install on the PC was super easy. We are extremely satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Expensive on the Back End

My experience with Epson's Workforce series has been office related and good. I purchase the printer for home use (my wife's a teacher) & it serves her well. The plus is it's an excellent printer & should handle anything thrown at it. The downside is for home use it is bulky so you will need some space. Also, the ink is pricey & there is a gotcha with a waste ink tank that has to be replaced when full or nothing will happen with your printer which means more $$$. The only other issue I had was I needed phone assistance in getting AirPrint set up for our Apple stuff. I would not say the instructions/settings were very clear or intuitive. Bottom line: Good product at a very good price except for ink replacement. May consider an EcoTank model next time around.

my cousin recommended this printer - but it has been a huge pain from the getgo - I am praying I can return - it is defective.

Prints nothing but blank pages

I've set up lots of printers so I was able to set this up even though there are practically no instructions (good luck). Brand new, prints only blank pages, not a single FAQ or help topic on printing blank pages out of the box, only information on head cleaning. After 10 minutes of initialization of brand new cartridges I don't think I should have to align nozzles and clean heads.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

SET UP IS DIFFICULT

The Scan via ADF doesn't work. Every time I try to scan, I place the document in the feeder, and the LED lights up 'ADF'. Then it promptly scans from the plate glass. Also, it prints documents face up....which isn't a problem but it prints the first page face up, then puts page two on top of page one. It should print the last page first so I don't have to sit down and resort. I had a 221 page document to print today...and resort. I only print documents, and the quality is good.

Your Workforce 4530 was easier to use , but the print head went out on 2 of the 4530's. The first 4530 lasted a little while and the second lasted a month.
Only using the 4630 when I have to, before the print head goes out on that.
Previously for many years I have used Epson but this 4630 is my last

Great Printer

I have had no issues with this printer. The ink has lasted for months with moderate printing. All of the features are great and the double sided printing helps save paper. Great printer.

Scan feature not working

I am very disappointed in this purchase. I have tried and tried to get the scan to work on this all-in-one. I even connected it directly to my computer and it still does not work. It also has quite a delay until it starts to print, and it is noisy.
