TERRIBLE

This is our second Epson printer and I will never invest in one of these again! I have had employees recommend this one to me and I have no idea why! They never work when you need them to. There is always a line through everything I print. It jams all the time! Horrible printer!

good -- when it works

quick quality printing when it works; have not had much trouble with wifi printing from multiple devices. BUT -- the settings get mixed up and there is no intuitive way to get them straightened out again, leaving it looking for the wrong paper feed, trying to find a second side to every copy job, and insisting on the autpfeed slot which is ALWAYS a nightmare since it can't feed anything without jamming. Still looking for a way to force it to the glass option.

Owned this printer for just over a year and it now won't print without white streaks. Have tried all the suggested methods to fix and none have worked. Waste of money.

Epson Workforce 4630 Multi-Function Printer

We owned this printer for two years. Faxing and scanning have always worked well, but after a year or so the printer function began to have serious problems.Text was blurred and smeared in places. Vertical lines began to waver. Graphics began to have horizontal lines across them.
We ran the head cleaning and head alignment utilities numerous times, but they didn't correct these problems. When our supply of expensive ink reached the last black XL cartridge, we traded it in towards another brand of printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dont Buy

We bought this machine in hope that it would be comparable to our HP 1217 however from the day we opened the box we have had nothing but PROBLEMS

Very fast and easy to use. Scans quickly and prints real fast. Haven't used as a fax yet but I'm sure it will work just as good.

Epson WF-4630 really fast, with great "dry" ink

I've owned various other brands of printers (laser and inkjet) for the past 24 years, but I'd finally had it with fixing random software problems. Bought the WF-4630 last week and liked it so much I bought another one two days later. The speed is about five times faster than that of my old system, and the ink doesn't smudge when you use a highlighter over it. It says it uses half the ink of a laser-printer, which is one of my goals (I keep my laser-printer for special projects). I hope I still like this as much five years down the road, but so far so good. You can even print to it from a smart-phone. I had one problem downloading the driver to my notebook computer (no disc drive) but the online Help people figured out the problem with my firewall and that solved it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
